This ticket was issued to twelve members of the Wycherley family for travel from London to Auckland, aboard the Jessie Readman, departing 5 August 1885. The ticket details the quantities of water that will be issued daily to each adult passenger, together with the weekly allowance of foodstuffs.
By 1892 the Wycherley family were living in Ashhurst. The family later established the business C W Wycherley and Son, Saddlers and Harness Makers in The Square, Palmerston North (c.1899-1919).
