The Kiwi Bacon Factory was established adjacent to the Longburn Freezing Works c1925, after small beginnings in Grey Street, Palmerston North. At one time it was one of the largest bacon factories in New Zealand and supplied products both nationally and internationally. The Company was dissolved 7 April 1992.
