This film documents Ashhurst School's centenary celebrations, held between 19 to 21 October 1979.
Ashhurst is a state co-educational full primary school in the Manawatū region. Ashhurst School officially opened in September 1879, with Mr F. Whibley as the temporary head teacher. The first permanent head teacher was Mr Alfred Gower (1880-1887).
