Confiscated collection of stuffed and mounted birds

Description

These 112 stuffed birds were the main evidence in the biggest prosecution ever brought by the Wildlife Division of the Internal Affairs Department, in Palmerston North on April 4, 1977. Ninety nine of the birds collected and stuffed were absolutely protected and two were partially protected. Eleven were game birds.
