Description

The Order of St John's horse drawn float participating in the Jubilee parade to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Borough of Palmerston North, watched by a large crowd lining Cuba Street. A branch of the Order of St John began in Palmerston North in 1900. In the background are the commercial businesses of K H Syme and Co. Ltd – wine and spirit merchants and Ciochetto & Co. – Land Estate and Assurance agents
