Curly Raeburn was presented with a gold watch to mark 55 years service at the Manawatu Evening Standard. Mr Raeburn continued to work for the company for a further 9 years, before he retired in September 1972. From left: Gordon Nash, Director; J H Nash, Editor; Curly Raeburn; N A Nash, Director. The Manawatu Evening Standard, launched in 1880, was the first daily newspaper in Palmerston North.
