"The Finishing touches" Scout Signalling Tower Construction

This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 10 October 1960 "Scouts lash the last pieces of bracing on to the top of a signalling tower at the Eastern Manawatu Scouts' gala day held at Terrace End Park last Saturday afternoon. The tower was built by senior Scouts and was part of a static display of their work. The only materials used in the construction are pine logs and rope."
