This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 28 January 1958, page 5: Seen in action during the Manawatu Bowling Centre's leads and twos tournament at the Manawatu Bowling Club's green on Saturday is L. Mason (Takaro). A relative newcomer to the sport, Mason is rapidly improving and, as the photograph shows, little fault can be found with his delivery.
