The bus is parked in Victoria Avenue, near the home of Len Madge, who drove the Palmerston North to Feilding bus in the 1920s. Madge Motor Service was founded in the 1920s by Thomas and Len Madge. It still operates today as Madge Coachlines, with a depot at 60 Bourke Street.
