This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 02 December 1960 "Mrs. G..G. Hancox, the secretary of the League of Mothers, cutting the Christmas cake during the annual party at the Scottish Centre yesterday. Also in the photograph are Mrs. H. Henderson (first president of the league), Mrs. G.M. Rennie (Mayoress), and Mrs. L.E. Matthews (vice-president)."
