This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 29 December 1962, "The paddling pool in the Esplanade is still one of the greatest attractions for children during the summer months. This morning was no exception. Twin boys found a little girl to splash, and set to with gusto. They were all thoroughly enjoying themselves when the photographer passed by."
