This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 31 August 1961 "One of their largest and most modern shoe stores featuring the open display, the German type of window arrangement together with plenty of seating, was opened this week in Palmerston North by Messrs. Hannah and Coy, Ltd. On the left is Mr. R.L. Gardiner (district supervisor) discussing the new coffee cream square-toed, medium slender-heeled shoe featuring a neat saddle strap in front with Mr. A.D. Dawe (branch manager) and Mr. H.E. Perrin (New Zealand sales manager). Mr. Perrin is holding an extra smart shoe in oyster glo-calf with tapered toe, slender high heel and finished with a neat pleated vamp."
