A ladies basketball team accompanied by their coach, in Pahiatua. Women's indoor basketball was still a new sport in 1947. In 1946 the New Zealand Women's Basketball Association (Inc.) was formed and National and Island championships began in 1947. Also see 2011G_ELMAR-3_005398
