Looking down at the Toe Toe stream bridge on a section of the new highway, which by passes the Mangaweka hills. Standing on the Toe Toe stream bridge, the Prime Minister, Mr R.D. Muldoon, officially declared the “Mangaweka highway” open on January 25, 1980.
