Description

This photograph is from a set of 7 entitled "Grass-Seed Raising in the Manawatu". The accompanying caption reads: “Carting Seed into the Store. This picture tells us the seed has, so to speak, reached a ‘temporary home.’ We see the lorries full of dressed seed arriving at the warehouse of a well-known firm of seed merchants in Palmerston North, from whence it will be distributed all over the world”. Barraud & Abraham’s wooden premises stood in Rangitikei Street.
