1906 House Moved Across Town
More Info →- Description
-
The Akers family lived in this four bedroom Palmerston North house from when it was constructed in 1906 until 1917, when the Lawson family moved in. They occupied the house until 1980. The house was moved to another location in Palmerston North in 1987 - it was cut in half for removal. The home was originally on a half-acre section, though this was later subdivided. It was said the original section was bought by a Mr Daniels and cost 89 pounds in 1906. Originally it was listed as 208 Featherston Street, but became 384 Featherston Street between 1936-1939.
