After school, father said get a trade before going farming. Apprenticed for fitting and turning (and machining and welding). Journeyman. “Foreigners” – jobs for others. Farming work once qualified. Work culture during apprenticeship – pranks, etc.. Health and safety. Dairy factory work with his journeyman.
