This portrait postcard was produced by Anderson's Studio, Palmerston North. This was established by the Norwegian-born artist and photographer Harold Anderson (1869-1926).
The postcard was given to Harold Vincent, who served in the Australian Navy during the First World War. It was donated to the Ian Matheson City Archive by his granddaughter. It may depict William James Philson (WWI service number, 12/2899), but further research is needed to confirm this.
