Mrs Eileen Revere Wright, artist, (left) and Mrs Edith Doretta Woodhouse, author, produced the book “Colonial homes of Palmerston North” in 1975. They are seen here autographing copies of their book in the Manawatu Evening Standard Bookshop. The houses are drawn in their original condition and most were built before 1907. Edith Woodhouse was educated at Campbell Street School and Palmerston North Girls' High School. She married Mr H E Woodhouse and had one son Brian. She was a registered music teacher. Eileen Wright taught art and exhibited in Wanganui and Palmerston North.
