A view of George Street commercial buildings in Palmerston North, showing from left: Swift and Co., Land agents, at number 19; W J B Jolly, Saddler at number 21; H J Woodsfield’s Manawatu Stables at number 23. The stables were demolished in 1915 to make way for the Palace Picture Theatre, which later became the Mayfair and then the Odeon Movie Theatre
