Covid-19 Face shields produced by Blueprint Makerspace
More Info →- Description
-
During the first Covid-19 lockdown, the 'Sheild's Up' initiative coordinated makers across New Zealand in mass producing face shields to ship to under stocked healthcare providors. Local Makerspace Blueprint (a division of the Palmerston North City Library) contributed its 3D-printers and expertise. Together with machines loaned from Te Manawa museum, over 800 face shields were 3D-printed and provided to local dentists, midwives and the sterilisation department at Palmerston North Hospital.
