This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 18 February 1961 "Mitsi, Faline, Gurri and Loma are the names of four tame deer befriended by Mr. M. Craw of Linton. Although they are enclosed by a six-foot-high fence, they are able to leap out at will as Mitsi, the stag, has already proved. Photographed: Her neck stretched to its limit, Faline comes to the fence to be fed on bread by Mrs Craw's two children, Dean and Melody."
