Dear Sir (or Madam),
We, the Members of War Cabinet, know that the
safety and future of New Zealand depend not only on
the valour of our men in the Armed Services and the
Merchant Navy, not only on the willing service of our
workers in the factories and on the farms, but also on
the loyal support that every New-Zealander gives to the
Dominions all-in effort to achieve final and complete
victory over the enemyand that is our task.
You may be a worker in factory or farm, workshop or
officebut whatever your vocation, your responsibility
as a citizen does not end with your days work. It will
not and cannot end until we finish our taskthe soldiers
task; the sailors task; the airmans taskYOUR task.
Our responsibility, as Members of War Cabinet, is to
ensure that every fighting man is fully equipped to do
The job he sets out to do.
Your responsibility is to ensure that the money necessary
Toi buy the food, clothing, and equioment for the fighting
Men is diverted into the fighting funthe 3rd Liberty
Loan.
Your oppostunity is NOW. THe 3rd Liberty Loan calls
For your support. Invest in War Loan stock,OR in
Liberty Bonds, OR in your National War Savings
Account. Invest your Savings. Invest every possible
pound. There is urgent war-winning work for every
shilling, every £1, every £100 you can make available.

to be replayed in cash on 15th June, 1947/49
3 per cent. WAR LOAN STOCK
to be repaid in cash on 15th December, 1953/56

Post-Offices, Banks, Sharebrokers, will assist you with

HOW TO MAKE YOUR INVESTMENT
IN THE
3rd LIBERTY LOAN
STOCK Call at any Post-office or Bank, fill in
the simple form of application, and hand it
to the receiving teller with the amount you
wish to invest. The Post-office or Bank
will transmit your application and money
to the Reserve Bank, from whom you will
receive advice of the issue of the Stock.
LIBERTY
BONDS
Call at any Post-Office or Bank and buy
them over the counter, just as you would
buy any article in a shop.
NATIONAL
WAR
SAVINGS
ACCOUNTS
Call at any Post-office or Trustee Savings-
bank, fill in a National Savings Deposit
Slip, and present it with your National
Savings Pass-book and your deposit to a
receiving teller, who will enter the deposit
in your Pass-book and return it to you.
If you have not yet opened a
National Savings Account
now is your opportunity to do so.
