This image was taken for a story that ran in The Manawatu Evening Standard on 25 October 1960 "Horses always draw a crowd and at the Foxton and District Gala Society's annual gala yesterday this was no exception. The Palmerston North City Silver Band provided much of the musical programme which helped to make the day a pleasant one."
