This image was taken for a story that ran in the Manawatu Evening Standard on 09 April 1963, "Queen Jean, the successful contestant in the recent six-weeks' carnival organised on behalf of the Freyberg High School, makes a regal figure just after her crowning last night at the Palmerston North Opera House.
