2nd Field Ambulance troops standing to attention at the temporary army camp located at Awapuni Racecourse. The Army issued tents are visible in the background. The Palmerston North A&P Showgrounds, Awapuni racecourse and Awatapu Golf Course were all utilised as army training camps during the war.
