Mrs June Mercer won the Benson and Hedges supreme Fashion Award with her four-piece crocheted ensemble in grey natural wool. She had spun the wool for the garments from a Romney-cross fleece and also won the Woolgrowers' Award for handcrafted wool fashion. Article in Manawatu Standard 27 September 1978.
