Two athletes carry the torch to light the Special Olympics flame during the opening ceremony for the New Zealand National Special Olympics Summer Games held at the Manawatū Sports Stadium. Seated on either side of the raised dais are members of the Palmerston North Girls' High School choir, who performed during the ceremony.
